Gratitude

Nature has its ways of blessing us...
With long waits followed by bountiful..

So was the wait worth it... most definitely...
Did I wonder what life had in store... absolutely...

But now, in retrospect.. It couldn't have been better...
The long wait of almost 4 years, the bittersweet trials...
I can confidently say now, that it is all worth it !
Life always has a grand plan... 

Often the grand plan that plays out might not be your grand plan, but grand it is.
So now, one year later, I thank the universe and every iota that is responsible for making it happen.

Because life in full bloom really makes it all worthwhile !

As we are growing up, if not earlier, most of us are hit by the reality of money. That we need to make some to survive... and a little more to make life a little better and so on.... Until we grey a little (or a lot :)) and figure out money will never be enough, unless we begin to think that it is ! I am currently reading Going Postal by Terry Pratchett . The Day

What is the significance of Mother's Day...or Father's Day or Valentine's Day. I am not questioning the importance of these people in our lives… but do we require a day to express our love/gratitude towards them. The concept was okay, but the way these days have now been publicised, i feel they've all lost their meaning and initial purpose.Most of these days were celebrated so that unexpressed feelings could be expressed. But now, by the looks of it, it seems that these "days" seems to have lost their glory. In nowadays world, not wishing your parent on Parents day is a gross mistake...not having a valentine is a sin! I might sound cynical…and probably I am…but I feel these days have been hyped too much , leading to absolute loss of meaning and purpose !

Life Death and the ones left in between

How do you tell a 9 year old that her father is no more.... As adults, most of us grapple with the thought and logic (if any) behind a dear one leaving us... and I was suddenly left wondering what to say to this 9 year old !!! For the first time in a long time, I was left speechless, not because I didn't want to say anything, but simply because I didn't know what to say.. Does it make sense if I tell you that all of a sudden, I became the child with a rubbery tongue, and the 9 year old had turned into the adult, trying to respond sensibly and sensitively. I was stumped by the questions thrown at me.  I felt so insufficient in my responses, but the child took even that in her stride. The strength of character in facing not just the reality but also fighting each dilemma in her own sweet way left me in deep thought for some time to come. I hope no one has to face what this child did...  PS: I was faced with this recently when a close friend lost her husband, and I was told ...
