There are moments in our life when too much is happening...  when our mind is buzzing continuously... So much that it becomes difficult to snap out of it... And the people around, are not helping the situation... I often wish I could just bolt out.. Escape all the noise, to just be able to regain sanity & think ! Image credits:  Aykut Aydoğdu

The Mind

There are a million thoughts running in my head right now...  But the mind appears to be calm.. radio silence...  Does that mean too much chaos results in peace???  Then why is there so much fuss around trying to focus our thoughts?  But in all the randomness, there is a pattern!!!

Let the Ball drop

Image
All of us are doing multiple things at a time... Various responsibilities... a list of pending chores...  A long list of confused thoughts and a longer list of woes.. As we walk through life, we get used to juggling everything... precariously keeping balance.... living it to the edge....and focusing our energies on keeping it together... So what happens if we just drop a ball... does all hell break lose...  Most of us aren't conditioned to handle this momentary chaos !

Tumble... Stumble.. Stop

What happens when the blocks you setup, the ones you depend on, start tumbling down. Initially the loose and frail ones, but ultimately even the firms ones start to disappear. Is it a sign of age ? Or is it merely a sign for change ? Or maybe both seem to have suddenly coincided. What is the right response to such a situation, because it is tough to sustain numbing your way through this turmoil. Being patient might appear to be a good strategy in some instances and might feel like living in fool's paradise other times. There seems to be limited clarity on what can be done. However, it is clear that once the dust settles, and the tumbling stops, resulting in lesser stumbling, what remains will stay.... hopefully for good.

Demonitization

Modi's current move of demonetization seems to be the current buzz word wherever we go. India’s PM, Narendra Modi, surprised and even shocked many when he announced that Rs 500 and 1,000 notes would no longer be legal currency. This is some 86% of the entire cash money supply of the country. Without getting into the political aspects (though I am sure that is a significant piece of the move), there seem to be some clear positives in this. Finally, the old cash being hoarded by the infinite households of India have finally seen the light of the day, and in some cases a bank account as well. The sudden purging of currency will bring the terrorist activities to a screeching halt. Suddenly banks are seeing a huge inflow of cash. Banks have cumulatively received around 5.5 Lakh Crore Rupees within one week. However, there appears to be a lot of collateral damage. People are having a tough time accessing their own hard earned money which is lying in bank accounts. Nee...

Stranger Help !

In the middle of hustling bustling traffic, my car broke down. Not only did the cop not create a scene, he pushed it to a bylane, with the help of few strangers.. The surprises the day threw up didn't end there... 4 - 5 drivers waiting around helped restart the car when I  opened the bonnet to look for the possible fault... and finally an inquisitive student just came by, and literally plugged the problem... Don't have enough words to thank them all... Didn't know any of them, but am sure to remember how they helped me yesterday !  So the next time I am on the road, and I find someone in need of some help, I'll stop for sure... Because I am a firm believer.... What goes around, comes around..
